Thank You, Chef De Leo

I would like to thank Chef for being a big part of my high school experience at El Modena. I have taken his classes for three years, and have enjoyed every minute of it. Having taken Culinary, Baking & Specialty Foods, and Event Catering, I have learned so much about both cooking and baking. Making foods from various places of the world and exploring in the kitchen has always been something I enjoy, so this was the perfect class for me.

I thank Chef specifically for always being helpful and encouraging with his students cooking endeavors. He allows us to suggest certain foods we would like to try to make and he teaches us how to be comfortable in the kitchen. Because of Chef, I do a lot more cooking and baking at home than I used to do previously.

I would also like to commend him for being so adaptable over our period of online learning. Although it was very difficult to teach a cooking class when all of the students were at home, Chef handled it well and carried on like normal.

This is my favorite picture that I have taken so far. It is of a blue dragonfly found in the nature center. It was a difficult picture to take because of the time constraint, I did not know when the dragonfly was going to move so I wanted to capture it as quickly as I could. I was surprised by this picture because I did not think it was going to turn out as well as it did because of the motion of the dragonfly. I could have further improved this picture by zooming in more to get a clearer picture.
